Organic inputs preparation method and usage in Sankarfoods Organic Farm

A) Preparation of Amutha Karisal

      1. Fresh Cowdung                                                  -  15kgs
      2. Cow Urine                                                           -  15 ltrs
      3. Jaggery (traditional uncentrifuged sugar        -  1- 2 kg
      4. Dried green gram/ cow pea - powder                - 2 kgs
      5. Soil                                                                        - (one) hand full
      6. water                                                   - to make up in 150 - 160 ltr plastic drum.
Mix the ingredients in a plastic drum and keep it in shade for 48 hrs, ensure that it is covered with a mesh(aeration  is required) and gently stirrer it once in 24 hrs.

It will be ready to use after 48 hrs:
  1. can be used as a polio spray at 30 ml/l water
  2. can be passed through inline, external drippers, sprinklers and flood irrigation at 200 l/acre, once in a month.


B) Panchagavya
                  1. Fresh Cowdung                                                  -   7 -8 kgs
                     2. Ghee (made from cow milk)                             -  1  kg
                     3. Jaggery (traditional uncentrifuged sugar)      -  1 kg
 
Mix/blend these ingredients gently and leave it for 4 -  5 days. Than add the following ingredients,
 
                                 4. Cow urine                                                      -   3 - 3.5ltrs
                                 5. Fresh cow milk                                               -   2 ltrs
                                 6. Fresh Curd                                                      -    2 ltrs
                                 7. Tender coconut water                                     -   3 - 3.5 ltrs
                                 8. Papaya fruit pulp                                            -  1 ltr
                                 9. Banana(poovam) fruit pulp                            -  1ltr
 
mix all these ingredients well and leave it for 2 to 3 weeks. It has to be gently stirred  thrice in a day and will be ready to use after 15 - 17 days time.

Usage:
  1. can be used as a polio spray @ 30 ml /ltr water
  2. can be passed(after a proper filtration)through inline, external drippers, sprinklers and flood irrigation @ 2 - 3ltrs / acre, once in a month.
